It doesn't suck.
Everyone here (except for the bankers) is trying to beat your ass, so its just like Eve without the need for years of skill points (ie new players actually have a chance).

And on June 30th, a hero died. Maybe.
The galaxy had not seen such a talent in many eons. He had created wealth only dreamed of by T2 BPO owners. The Sleepers had studied him to no avail, and ran back to their wormholes. Big game dealers arrived from oblivion when his presence was possibly anticipated. Small game dealers waited for the day to actually be insulted creatively by him.
Two cards at a time.
And then....he was gone.
Batou Section9. The man. The myth. The legend.
"It was like 20b isk crying out all at once, in 525m to 4b all in increments" observed an interested onlooker, too chicken to play at interesting limits. "All I could do was hope he threw me a chip or two on the way down...."
The actual amount of isk lost is unimportant. To some. To others it was a little over 20 billion. Certainly greater fortunes have changed hands in the universe many times over. Batou was a hero to many, a villian to some, a force of nature that SHOULD not be explained. But to see such spirit, such a talent, to be broken...was very shocking and rocked the gambling community to the core.
Affectionately (but quietly) refered to as "GI HOE" (like the action figure, only less straight), Batou drove action throughout the EOH Universe.
"I hated the guy, and I miss him already," admits the author. "I sent him 500m....and he returned it. I certainly can't wait to hear him insult me again...someday. I hope I will not be disappointed."
EOH POKER stock did increase 5% on record overnite returns. Selene could not be reached for comment.
Will he return? CAN he return? Can EOH survive WITHOUT Batou?

Remarkable....I joined a space game and I ended up playing cards.
Ship games, BIG ship games, never ending tourneys....even singing bankers...
